Kenya IGF Week: 19 June - 22nd June 2023. There will be several events lined up for IGF Week.

Kenya IGF 2023 will be held on Thursday 22nd June 2023.
The theme for  Kenya IGF 2023 will mirror the global IGF theme “'The Internet We Want - Empowering All People''. The Subthemes will be centered around

1. AI & Emerging Technologies
2. Cybersecurity, Cybercrime, and Online Safety
3. Data Governance and Trust
4. Digital Divides and Inclusion
5. Human Rights and Freedoms
6. Sustainability & Environment

Some other themes to consider will be
7. Avoid Internet Fragmentation
8. Global Digital Governance and Cooperation

The Kenya Multistakeholder Advisory Group (MAG) will advise on the themes that Kenya should prioritize.

The Kenya Internet Governance Forum (KIGF) is an annual meeting that brings together various stakeholder groups to dialogue on ICT and Internet Policy. The forum brings together stakeholders from the government, the private sector, the technical community, academia, and civil society to discuss ICT and Internet policy issues on an equal footing through an open and inclusive process. While the discussions give soft policy outcomes, the forum is a knowledge-sharing platform that informs and inspires actors in the Public and Private Sectors. The national forum feeds into the regional and global fora through a chain of reporting and representation to the regional and global IGFs to ensure a bottom-up Internet policy development process and a strong link between global internet policies and the national one.

Best Regards
