Public Policy Discussion on the Startup Bill, 2020

Monday, 28th September 2020
12:00PM -1:30PM EAT

Dear listers,

The Kenya Startup Bill has been published. With this Bill, Kenya inches closer to joining the ranks of Tunisia and Senegal that have been the first two African countries with Startup specific legislation, away from legislation that deals with small and medium-sized enterprises. This legislation distinguishes itself by focusing on businesses operating in the technology and tech innovation sector across various industries, which are more popularly known as tech startups.
The Public Policy Discussion will centre on the environment that the Bill envisions as far as the future of Startups in Kenya is concerned. This will impact you in more ways than you know it. Join the discussion.
