Yes  Robert,
From their website cofek.co.ke, I note that COFEK is registered as a society, and from KICTANet, we have interacted with one of the officials. I was just wondering, COFEK, being a society, who are the members, what is  the membership criteria etc if I was interested in joining?
Perhaps someone could point us to this information....

Hi,

Cofek, unlike KICTANET, is a registered organisation that has proven to the relevant authorities that it represents a certain group of consumers of which you may or may not be one of, the onus is on you to proof that they do not represent the interests on any substantial number of consumers.

Note that your member of parliament makes statements that presume your subscribe to even though you never voted for him to be elected.

One would be tempted to ask, Who is COFEK? Who are the members?  How does one join COFEK?

Walu,
You forget to mention we have been educated about how CCK & TESPOK funded KENIC into existence.
Buruchara clarifies, no one was fired... they opted out.
G4S... Not needed :)

Meanwhile, Steve Mutoro of Consumer Federation of Kenya raises a storm.

He says that he was invited to the KENIC board but is suprised to find that CCK and TESPOK are more equal than others in terms of them being the founding members and articles of assoc..

Yawe, says that is the fact and we may have to leave with it or find a legal way of diluting those powers...

the debate continues...with Mutoro issuing a soft-threat CoFECK that they will find a way into the Board by all (legal) means :-)

debate continues...

walu.
