Dear All, I want to thank Robert, Liko, Tim, Bitange, ICT Board, and others for enduring to settle on the venue - UoN. It is however unfortunate it has take almost two weeks to settle on the venue + cost of tea for a sector that is leading in terms of growth. The offer from KIPPRA is good but the venue appears to be small, this discussion will be open to the sector and not for a focus group only. Robert and Liko should talk to ICT Board (Lucy Odhiambo) to cover the costs of venue and refreshment - if not successful, then we shall go the "harambee way". You may prefer to do this outside the list and update members on the progress. In the meantime, there was an earlier request for a volunteer to compile the notes, contributions and a report. So far I am not aware if this tast has been taken up and I wish to do the same voluntarily so we do not spend another week discussing the cost; I will require assistance from someone familiar with jargons surrounding the ICT Park. Robertn and Liko please comment. When do we expect draft program out? Regards, *********************************************************** Akich D. As indicated the venue has a capacity of only 50 people, which means the crowd can be more interactive. Mwololo, I suggest those interested should mpesa the money to you so that you can do the bookings. Please lets stop domo domo on this issue and move forward. Please post your mobile number so that I can send you my 500/-. It is called Arziki in Chiromo campus - no parking problem. They will charge 5,800/- for the room and 150/- per person for tea and snacks. We can either "changa" to defray these costs or one of us can pay for it. It might be too small for ICT board!! tm On 1/11/10, Mwololo Tim <[email protected]> wrote: I still need numbers.
