Hi Wangari,The aggrieved party reports a copyright infringement and the user has the disadvantage of having the content being pulled down and flagged appropriately by the service provider once there is an infringement proven. This I believe creates a healthy ecosystem as it does not unduly antagonize service providers.Kind regards,Rosemary Koech-KimwatuTwitter:@TechWakiliTel:+254 718181644/771632344On Fri, Jun 17, 2016 at 2:35 PM, WANGARI KABIRU <wangarikabiru@yahoo.co.uk> wrote:Blessed Furahi Day!
Meaning that the users should be liable fully? This is a mountain to follow up on.
Something is vague hear and leads to hague!!
Revenue is generated from this model (whether moneywise, inventor satisfaction or other).
Have a blessed day.

Thanks
Mildred for sharing this, it makes perfect sense that the
service providers are not held liable for the actions of
users, it is a step in the right direction for courts to
separate the users and service providers in regards to
copyright infringement. A ruling in the alternative would
have set a precedent that would create a severe blow to
platforms which host content posted by users as they would
have to struggle with screening of content.
