Robert
you are a techie .... I would say just do it .. :)
Dr. Ndemo,
Thank you for the information, now that we are becoming more of a doing forum, referring to the up coming briefing, I would like to challenge those techies out there to setup an IPTV streaming server that we can test.
We could then broadcast Dr. Ndemos presentation when after it is done. This would allow me to get on TV.--- On Thu, 14/1/10, bitange@jambo.co.ke <bitange@jambo.co.ke> wrote:

Indeed convergence is threatening traditional Broadcasting Houses. In the
US IPTV and Cable TV are more widespread than free to air TV. Congress
recently asked why FCC continues to manage the frequency spectrum. It
will not surprise if the next big TV station is Safaricom TV, Google TV
etc. Much of the digital signals will be carried via communications
networks. As voice becomes competitive, the meat will lie in content and
its channels of distribution. Already if you have a webcam, we could
stream our discussions to some IPTV (No license required from CCK).
Ndemo.
