He was a great man. He was also a very senior civil servant. The
press should have given it more prominent coverage. The President
sent a message of condolence to the family on Friday but only one
daily, I think the Standard, tucked it away in a small corner
over the weekend.

Dr Juma was passionate about his work. You couldn't draw a line
between the job and and hobby . His was a rare commitment and for
those of us who had a chance to work under him, it is difficult
to imagine a fitting boss for the e-gov docket. I recall how he
would get frustrated when you start explaining some delay, "I am
not a civil servant", he would retort, "civil servants like
processes". Yet at the end of the day, Juma was more of a loving
brother than a boss. He loved to help people do their best.
The burial will be in Siaya on 14th Feb. There will be a Funeral
Service on 14th. I will update you all with details soon,
