Seems to me like the antagonists/protagonists in this debate are more interested in a power play than in actual solutions. Boards of corporations have to be kept small, multi-skilled and efficient to allow for better decision making. The solution to bring in "non-qualified", or external expertise is to set up board committees - which most by-laws allow and which usually do not have a limit on membership. dons in PUBLIC universities) should not sit on some boards including the Communication Authority, Universal Service, ICT Authority amongst others. It however does not bar dons from PRIVATE universities to sit on these
