Nyeri Municipal council have demonstrated that our local councils can use ICT innovatively. One of the sponsors of Power Up made the site: Sokoletu. All municipal council officers have placed their mobile phone numbers on the site. There are no interactive services yet. What was also more encouraging was to receive an email from the town clerk from the nyerimunicipal.go.ke domain.
IMHO, there is action and needs to be sustained (where its started). Where the action has not taken root, we need to re-initiate the activities - probably the bandwagon might gain some speed countrywide and in all perceived areas.
