Hello Fellows, Here is a serious breakdown in communication and for sure we as a community are not at fault on this issue. However, all we know is that all of a sudden there is a wave to accredit parties to do various things under the sun all of a sudden. And multiple number of times has the community raised this issue as specifically a not going to work model. Valid there may be divergent opinions on this matter but then a bigger question for the implementing party to answer is what are the guidelines to measure accreditation and who will be in a position to measure it (and we may still argue back and forth about how these accreditations have made Kenya a tech hub lets put that aside for now and just focus on the question - and I am sure we will realize that the Accrediting Party - in all its respects - will still be as human an entity as all of us are - that is if ever there have been globally recognized frameworks to pull this off on a nation's scale). In a world where the user's competence is available a LinkedIn Profile click away - are we still looking at papers or CVs to drive the tech sector? Barrack,
The essence of certification is to avoid 3rd party audits like KICTA is trying to do.
If I have already been certified by an international ( or local) organization, why do they need to register and vet me again?

Hi Wash,
This is a different issue. It has to do with standardization of IT
processes using ISO Standards that are domesticated at Kenya Bureau of
Standards like the ISO 27000 series that focus on IT Security and
Governance. ICTA and KEBS have been engaging on how this can be
achieved for the past year.
