With ZAP, one has the option of entering the receiver's number from phonebook, without having to manually enter the details

Bob, You are meticulous, that is a good question to be answered by the telcos and regulator, sometimes i also wonder when you send an sms it doesn't get to the recipient yet the money is deducted, what is your recourse? Im sure millions of shillings disappear from consumers pockets this way :-).
