Hi Muthoni,
That would be a major coup! Been trying to follow up on
this and the latest I heard was that the schedule had been delayed by a month
(due to an industrial accident) and that the cable would land in July.
Expected to be commissioned in October. SEACOM expected to land in
June.

Where can i get the TEAMS (The East African Marine System) map
showing all the landing points.
Would appreciate to know the current
progress status as well.
I have information that Alcatel-Lucent have
announced that laying of the cable should be complete in the second quarter of
2009. More information suggests that date of first use is due April
2009.
Any further updates are most welcome.
