Call for Workshop Proposals – Africa Tech Policy Summit 2025

This is a kind reminder that the Africa Tech Policy Summit (AfTPS) 2025 is inviting workshop proposals on key thematic areas in technology governance and policy. The deadline for submissions is April 7, 2025, at 23:59 EAT.
The AfTPS will take place from May 12-16, 2025, in Nairobi, Kenya, bringing together policymakers, private sector leaders, academia, civil society, and tech startups to collaborate on harmonizing technology policies across Africa. The workshops will provide hands-on discussions and insights into pressing tech policy issues shaping Africa’s digital future.
1. AI Governance – Ethical and responsible AI frameworks ensuring societal impact.
2. Data Policy – Privacy, data protection, and governance for a secure digital environment.
3. Digital Inclusion – Strategies to bridge digital divides and ensure equitable access.
4. Keeping the Internet On – Tackling connectivity disruptions from economic, political, and social perspectives.
5. Sector-Specific Tech Policy Dialogues – Healthcare, education, fintech, agriculture, manufacturing, tourism, and more.
6. Information Integrity & Content Moderation – Addressing misinformation and online safety.
We encourage you to submit your workshop proposal before the deadline and contribute to shaping Africa’s tech policy landscape.
