Dear Listers,

Happy new year!

On 17th December 2020 the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) conducted a webinar to expound on the new Digital Taxes which I got a chance to attend. I have written a recap on the webinar that hopefully will help you in understanding the Kenyan digital tax regulations. These are the VAT Digital Marketplace Supply Regulations and the Income Tax (Digital Service Tax) Regulations. I have tried giving different scenarios in which the Taxes may apply. I have also left the KRA contacts through which you can contact them in case of any queries as I am by no means a tax expert. They are really effective in responding.
