Cc: Secretariat AfIGF <africanigf@gmail.com>

Dear All,

The United Nations Secretary-General’s High-Level Panel on Digital Cooperation (HLPDC) submitted the report ‘’The Age of Digital Interdependence’’. Report’s recommendation 5 A/B proposes possible models for the global digital cooperation. Among these models, proposed is also an advanced Internet Governance Forum (IGF Plus). The office of the Special Adviser to the UN Secretary-General, the Governments of Germany and the United Arab Emirates were named as “Champions” to facilitate the follow-up process on the recommendation 5.

Several NRIs find as important that the NRIs also respond to these consultations. Tomorrow, 5 May at 14 pm UTC during the live webinar, these NRIs will explain the importance of the NRIs response to these consultations and introduce the process for developing the consolidated NRIs response. A former co-director of the HLPDC Secretariat and ex-officio Panel member, Dr Jovan Kurbalija, will be the special guest, reminding on basics of the HLPDC’s Recommendation 5 A/B. You are cordially invited and encouraged to join this webinar.
