In your report point 2 mentions government and licensed operators, how can the consumers participate? 2. Is it possible to get an up to date layout of NOFBI? Since last week PS Dr. Ndemo and his team at the MOIC have been engaging operators in discussions to find the best way to maximize value on the government built NOFBI infrastructure. In summary the outcome of the meetings has been that; 1. NOFBI is accessible to all interested licensed operators who shall provide the last mile solutions to their customers. 2. A management committee comprising of various operators and government has been put in place to finalize on suitable pricing and ensure as many people as possible have access to the backbone infrastructure and ensure that it is eventually self-sustainable. 3. The management committee shall share quarterly reports on the progress It is the hope of all those involved that the use of this shared platform will be a contributing factor to the reduced costs of internet access.
