Remember Safaricom is offering a service. The service of transmission of the cash has already occured, wether it was sent to the intended recepient or not, that is a mistake on the sender's part. As for the option to browse the phonebook for the number, its the sim app that has that feature and not a network issue. I think Safaricom should look into this in their next Safaricom/Mpesa menu upgrade. As Okech said, you should be glad you are not charged for recovery of the money. As this is an overhead you are imposing on the system.
