Kukubo Would you mind sharing the working document developed as a result of 140friday? The discussion on this list pointed the policy document would have ramifications that affect SMEs in the ICT sector. As Muchiri rightly points out, there lies a great wisdom on this list that would contribute to strengthening it. The Kenya ICT Board is concerned largely with matters of implementation. This discussion is critical because it touches on development of enterprises. If you read my blog, I suggested that enterprise development was a combination of many factors education included. And yes that engagement does take place. Paul KukuboCEO Kenya ICT Board. Is it possible to have the working policy document on here for discussion? It is an ICT policy issue after all, isn't it? Paul, capability and capacity problems are solved in part through education. Is the KICTB consulting with the MoE on ways to improve this? Is there anyway KICTANET can contribute to help the conversation along? While that is going on, we must keep our eyes on the wider issues that merit the discussions we have been undertaking. Asante. It would not change the substantive arguments in any way. I notice you forgot to include my message on the same on this forward. But as stated, received that information in confidence therefore not at liberty to share. Curious you immediately dismiss it as "consipracy" so quickly? Shouldn't we be patient and wait to see how that one unfolds? regards, _______________________________________________ ke-internetusers mailing list ke-internetusers@bdix.net http://www.bdix.net/mailman/listinfo/ke-internetusers -- Paul Kukubo Chief Executive Officer, Kenya ICT Board PO Box 27150 - 00100 Nairobi, Kenya 12th Floor, Teleposta Towers Koinange Street Tel +254 20 2089061, +254 20 2211960 Fax: +254 20 2211962 website: www.ict.go.ke local content project: www.tandaa.co.ke, www.facebook.com/tandaakenya twitter:@tandaaKENYA BPO Project: www. doitinkenya.co.ke Digital Villages Project: www.pasha.co.ke personal contacts _______________ Cell: + 254 717 180001 skype: kukubopaul googletalk: pkukubo personal blog: www.paulkukubo.co.ke personal twitter: @pkukubo ____________________ Vision: Kenya becomes a top ten global ICT hub Mission: To champion and actively enable Kenya to adopt and exploit ICT, through promotion of partnerships, investments and infrastructure growth for socio economic enrichment _______________________________________________ kictanet mailing list kictanet@lists.kictanet.or.ke http://lists.kictanet.or.ke/mailman/listinfo/kictanet Unsubscribe or change your options at http://lists.kictanet.or.ke/mailman/options/kictanet/ggithaiga%40hotmail.com The Kenya ICT Action Network (KICTANet) is a multi-stakeholder platform for people and institutions interested and involved in ICT policy and regulation.
