Would it be possible to have a safaricom dedit card with visa or Mastercard via Mpesa? Kenyans are slowly accepting plastic as a means of payment. With mobile banking, we have to go through the bank to transfer funds or receive funds, however if consumers were able send money directly to a safaricom debit card, we could eliminate the extra cost and time of routing money through a bank. Additionally for the Mpesa users who may want to pay for a dinner at a restaurant or in the middle of the night or even buy a plane ticket can simply swipe their safaricom debit card for easy payment.
