Hello Open Forum!
I can't believe it's been a year since we launched #ShineTheLight!
This year the UN has chosen the theme “Be Bold for Change” so we’re celebrating women who are boosting online trust. These can be women who are building the technology that drives the Internet, to bloggers speaking out against human rights violations, or any number of the millions of women out there who are making the Internet a more inclusive place just by logging on.
How to take part
If you’re on social media, you can share your story using the hashtag #ShineTheLight This year we are also using the tag #ShePersisted – a hashtag
that’s a great one to follow for conversations on women who are out there and pushing for change.
Here's an example:
I want to #ShineTheLight on @ildasim for making sure everyone has a chance to lend a digital hand #ShePersisted
More tomorrow and Happy International Women's Day!
Lia
