I agree, I recently checked the Registrar of Political Parties portal on ecitizen and apparently I am a member of the Maendeleo Democratic Party, I don't know when or how I registered but they indicate the membership number as well. They have all the details, full names, constituency, ID, county and ward. How does this happen? On the security collection of names, ID and email at times. Many do that for security purposes just incase. However, with the Data Protection Act and regulations in place the company in charge is to register with the ODPC.On Wed, 20 Jul 2022, 10:37 Liz via KICTANet, <kictanet@lists.kictanet.or.ke> wrote:I also wonder where they get people's numbers. I am reminded of the way political parties registered people who are not their members, perhaps using our IDs and phone numbers. This is the reason I am against security guards at different premises collecting these details. On Wed, 20 Jul 2022 at 09:54, Grace Githaiga via KICTANet <kictanet@lists.kictanet.or.ke> wrote:_______________________________________________Interested in hearing your views.Good morning Listers,Have any of you received this (attached) unsolicited political text(s)?
