Dear all, Adam has raised some very important issues...Is the capacity in the counties really to the task? Is ICT prioritised in the counties? I remember in Kisumu, free WiFi was launched but it barely worked. Are there any reps from the counties or ICT Authority who can shed light on internet prevelance and the implementation of the ICT roadmap?? as raised by Kanini Regards, R.Ojino On Tue, Jul 4, 2017 at 11:26 AM, Victor Kapiyo via kictanet < kictanet@lists.kictanet.or.ke> wrote:
I have seen some counties on the ecitizen platform which i think is a good thing. I think Nairobi also has improved its revenue collection through the e-payments system, complete with an app. Plus there was a time i read about Nakuru implementing public wifi within its CBD, i dunno if that's still working.

Good morning,
Could someone please shed light on the internet prevalence levels in the counties? Do all counties have reliable access to the internet?

Dear all,
Today's online discussion is on the topic: ICT in the counties. Lets kindly share our experience on challenges and opportunities based on the following questions :
-
To what extent are county governments adopting ICTs? -
What are the bottlenecks faced ICT entrepreneurs at county level? -
What are those positive or negative experiences that we can learn from? -
How can counties better respond to needs of the ICT community?
Lets engage, Best regards,
Ronald Ojino.
