The high cost of local loops is just alarming. It's cheaper buying internet connections and setting up VPNs than buying actual loops. 

I keep asking internet service providers to offer local traffic twice or thrice as fast for each megabit of international traffic in order to utilise tge idle local capacity but none is willing.
