The ICT fraternity mourns the passing of the former Director-General of the Communications Authority of Kenya ( 2012 to 2019).

Mr Wangusi joined the then Communications Commission of Kenya (CCK) in 2000 at the level of Assistant Director and rose through the ranks to his current position. He served as the Director in charge of Broadcasting and Special Projects as well as the Director in charge of Licensing, Compliance and Standards.

Mr Wangusi oversaw significant milestones in the ICT industry, including the transition to digital television broadcasting, operationalisation of the USF, the National Broadband Strategy, and the sector's exponential growth during his tenure until retirement.

He was a key supporter of public participation and graced many KICTANet events.

May he rest in peace as we condole with his family, friends, and colleagues.
