Thanks Paul.
As you have seen, NetMundial agreed to our proposal to host the remote
hub. They need information to post on NetMundial website on location
of remote hubs. This is a good for iHub.
"Thank you very much for your proposal to organize a remote hub for
NETmundial. This is to proudly inform that we are gladly accepting
your offer to collaborate with the meeting in Sao Paulo. We are
trilled with the quality of your proposal and very excited with the
answers from other hubs as well. Over 25 proposals from all around the
globe were received. Once again, thank you so much !
We will soon schedule a meeting with you and other hub managers to
inform about overall instructions and procedures for the remote hub
operation. We will also create a mailing list to share all updates
immediately.
At this moment we would like to kindly ask some contact information
for your hub. This information will be posted in NETmundial website
very soon. We really appreciate your immediate answer in this simple
items:
Hub name:
Hub address:
Contact email:
Contact phone:
Hub website (if any, you can also inform later if you are planning to have one):
Please be informed that these informations will be published in
NETmundial website and this is the reason we are asking for your
confirmation.

Subject: [discuss] Hubs to Net Mundial - call for registration
still open
Dear all,
This is a reminder of the opportunity to register a remote
participation Hub to Net Mundial, given that the deadline has been
extended. Remote hubs will have the opportunity to follow the
webcast of the meeting and send comments, questions an suggestions
to Net Mundial. All registered hubs will receive support from the
organization of the event.
The call containing further information can be found here:
http://netmundial.br/blog/2014/03/18/netmundial-opens-opportunity-for-interested-to-host-official-hubs-of-participation/
Best,
Marília
What are the hubs?
The hubs are local meetings that take place simultaneously with
NETmundial meeting. People can watch the webcast together and send
questions and comments, via text or audio, that will be included in
the Sao Paulo discussions. NETmundial remote hubs can be organized
among participants and any group of interested people who share a
more immediate community or geographical proximity. It should be
open and inclusive to interest actors among the local community, as
well as the local press. An minimal infrastructure should be
provided, such as: - Accessible location, open to the general
public (hotel meeting room, auditorium, theater etc);
- Accommodate around 50 participants;
- Computer and Internet broadband connection availability;
- Computer screen projection and audio system (microphone and
speakers);About NETmundialThe Global Multistakeholder Meeting on
the Future of Internet Governance will focus on crafting Internet
governance principles and proposing a roadmap for the further
evolution of the Internet governance ecosystem. The meeting is
scheduled for April 23rd and 24th 2014, in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and
will be live webcast enabling remote participation.
