Mr. John, This is the essence of "Freedom of Expression" in a flourishing "comfortable" democracy. "Thinking Kenya" asks BIG questions, answers are looked for and are found. Talking of which we need belated a good FOI Act. The pepper gets out there and one may choose to have the cure administered "sugar-coated" or shot "straight between the eyes". Good where government and business are distinguishable but nightmares when the two are indistinguishable. Among the greatest dangers right now are to ensure the democratic window of expression is safeguarded because you must be aware companies also have active corporate espionage departments "to ensure largest market share" Companies and Government could conspire to "finish" consumers - profit optimisation on one hand and tax obligations on the other hand to end up with unshakable "K"enrons defying the world (case in Zimbabwe). Most of we must appreciate sustained assertiveness yields pro-consumer results ;-) Woe unto you if you they type that believes in very kind corporates. A vocal consumer says "Before companies state they giving back to society, they should first tell us what they grabbed from it" Kwaheri! Alex --- John Walubengo <jwalu@yahoo.com> wrote:

Theuri, these your stories are hot like pepper...might u be related to one Alex Gakuru?
But on a serious note, I had never realised that business corporates have the mechanism to effectively and permanently extingiush the media - in ways that many a government can only be envious about.
...makes one wonder - is the media selecting the wrong enemies? Or is the media part of the problem in that it often takes part in a dynamic conspiracy with either the Govt or the Corporates at the expense of the Consumer?
