My personal opinion:

For typos online on blogs and all, blame it on the touch screen, predictive text and spell checking whose American English. For print media however, there is absolutely no excuse, except of course copy and paste from online blogs, pages and discussions from tabloid lists.

Kipkemoi arap Kirui,
In system theory there is feedback and evaluation which informs subsequent
inputs.  When the output does not meet the expectations, you either change
the quality of inputs or revise the processing system.  We need some work
on our 8-4-4 system.

Omogambi Ndemo,

Yours is a call to action. Can we diagnose, evaluate and act?

Listers,

In my view this is but a reflection of how standards across the board have
fallen. There is simply no pride in a good job done- casualness is the order of
the day.'It can pass' - so it is said.
We need to get back to the thoroughness that once was- ACROSS THE BOARD.
