Eric,

This is not to take anything away from CA, but in hindsight, a look  into a repertoire of events surrounding the U.S elections, including fake news, one Mr. Comey, and the biggest elephant in the room on gender still deeply entrenched, could probably suggest theirs as accolades after the fact. Literally any scientific methodological approach towards any electoral victory for either camp got drowned out by a cacophonic din from elsewhere. Perhaps one would have to go back and analyze the 2012 upset to better appreciate and understand the huge role of data analytics in elections. But yet again, let's wait and see how their model would retailor here..

This is an interesting development - I was seconded last year to CA during the Ted Cruz campaign and later during Donald's Trump campaign.

And you are right - however it's not only an issue of data present ( which I am not sure it exists) but data collected was real-time and decisions made real time. That type of ecosystem is not easy to create - however am sure they will take the money and run.

Yes irony of ironies even CA's data showed DT was going to loose -

Do we really have that much data in Kenya for the kind of data mining that Cambridge Analytica allegedly carries out?
Interesting times....
