Dear Lizette, Sorry I lost track of Kictanet activities. Thanks for the 'minutes' of a meeting of Kictanet 26.01.2006. Allow me to say, as it is important for us to follow, suggest such minutes need some more information (title, venue, chair, apologies, next meeting). There appears to be low participation of private sector players (I had given apologies for Kenya ICT Federation) and I think we need to understand why that is so. In the event Parliament convenes soon and the new Bill comes up, it may be useful to study the Bill in one of the full Kictanet meetings. Best regards, Marcel Werner, for KIF ----- Original Message ----- From: Lizette Kraft To: mwerner@archway-productions.com Sent: Monday, February 13, 2006 11:28 AM Subject: Re: [Kictanet] DRAFT MINUTES OF KICTANET MEETING HELD ON 26/1/06 Dear Alice, Thank you for suggesting the postponement of the Retreat. I would like to organise this and it would be great if we could move it to after the Conference. Thanks for the thought and consideration. cheers Lizette On 2/11/06, alice@apc.org <alice@apc.org> wrote: Hi All Given that Lizette has been busy with the Minister InfoCom organising the national workshop for 28th, as well as the policy document, which was made public last week, I do not see the likelihood of the KICTANet retreat taking place as scheduled on 17th of Feb. Can we postpone this activity to a later date? thanks alice ----- Original Message ----- From: "Muriuki Mureithi" <mureithi@summitstrategies.co.ke> To: <alice@apc.org> Sent: Friday, February 10, 2006 8:52 PM Subject: RE: [Kictanet] DRAFT MINUTES OF KICTANET MEETING HELD ON 26/1/06 > Thanks Lizette for the excellent work you have done to capture what we > said > - it takes patience for the intentions to come out so well laid out > > > > > > Colleagues - I was to prepare an implementation matrix of the new policy > for discussion at the getaway next week .
