In recognition of the African Union's (AU) 2024 Year of Education, the African Internet Rights Alliance (AIRA) is delighted to invite you to a special edition of our quarterly AIRA Talks.
Six (6) AIRA members will be delivering lightening tasks focusing on "The Role of Digital Rights in Building a Resilient Education System in Africa," highlighting the intersection of education, digital rights, and technology in shaping the future of education on our continent.
Specific presentations to be made include:
- "AI, Education and Ethics: A Look at Intelligent Tutoring Systems (ITS) in Kenya" by CIPIT
- "Strengthening Education Systems with Data-Driven Decision-Making" by Co-Creation Hub
- "Mitigating Algorithmic Bias in the Development and Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Learning" by Pollicy
- "Assistive Technology for Inclusive Education in Africa" by KICTANet
- "Promoting Children Learners from Cyber Bullying and Hamful Content in the Use of the Internet for Learning" by Paradigm Initiative
- "Equitable Access to Digital Education" by the Legal Resources Centre
These high-level, concentrated doses of information in the form of lightning talks have been designed to provoke thought, spark conversation, and inspire action among key stakeholders like yourself.
