Grace, Apologies for being unclear. Was "suggesting" the solution KICTA wisely chose, be hosted in Kenya. In Egypt the solution is hosted by a Microsoft Partner but KICTA would be wise to build some internal capacity to deploy the same. Upcoming procurement law updates might lock out some Microsoft Partners usually referred for not so small projects in Kenya. Several government websites were on Monday evening shut own over claims of unsettled debts. Those affected include the Ministry of Lands, Labour, Ministry of Energy, Mining and Petroleum, and that of the Ministry of East Africa Community among others.
According to sources, the affected sites are hosted by Microsoft's Azure went down due to lack of payment.
