Why is partnering with KASNEB a "Strategic Objective' of the ICT Board? Does it mean that the Board sees the running of ICT examinations and, presumably, professionalism as a responsibility of accountants? To me the strategic objective should be to ensure ICT education and professionalism are established under statutory recognition in their own right. The only advantage accountants have is the statutory recognition and if we plan properly we will reach there. I do not want to derail this new partnership but I hope it is short term.

BTW KASNEB does not have the technical capacity to make any ICT Syllabus. They had to call in a team of ICT experts, including me, to write the CICT syllabus for them. The syllabus we made out is geared for accountants.

Kind Regards,
Waudo
