I am yet to see anyone charged for being a nuisance. The City Council
call it in their bylaws being disorderly in the public.

The particular law mentioned doesn't really cover thefull spectrum of the problem which should also cover SMS (which I daresaythe telcos are the biggest culprits of sending unsolicited nuisance SMSBlasts). The rule of thumb these days is an opt-in as opposed to opt-outfunctionality. Simply put, I mean that Telco X should stop sending meunsolicited SMSs. Instead they should ask my permission first before sendingme SMSs that I have no interest in reading. It seems trivial but one day itwill come to bite them. Do we have laws to enforce this? Unfortunately notthat I know of. In other words this is called:-PERMISSION MARKETING.And when it comes to this we are in the dark ages..Ali HusseinHussein & Associates+254 770 906375 / 0713 601113Twitter: @AliHKassimSkype: abu-jomoLinkedIn: http://ke.linkedin.com/in/alihkassimBlog: www.alyhussein.com"Discovery consists in seeing what everyone else has seen and thinking whatno one else has thought". ~ Albert Szent-GyörgyiSent from my iPadOn Aug 11, 2015, at 3:55 PM, Mildred Achoch via kictanet<kictanet@lists.kictanet.or.ke> wrote:Dear Barrack,This Wikipedia entry on global spam legislation may be of interest toyou. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Email_spam_legislation_by_countryRegards,Mildred.On 8/11/15, Barrack Otieno via kictanet <kictanet@lists.kictanet.or.ke>wrote:Listers,Does Kenya have an Anti Spam law?, can anyone familiar with thepresent law point me to an area that deals with Spam or otherunsolicited communication?Regards--Barrack O.
