Just had a meeting with top officials of Verisign, hosts of more than 80 root servers. He says they will exhaust IPv4 in the next 6 months. The debate is whether they should acquire African IP addreses in some sort of secondary market while they migrate to IPV6. US is just beggining the implementation of v6. They foresee a crisis within the next six months not only with the addresses but the confusion in addressing. Ndemo.
