I remember the days when ICT  experts would use examples  like "fights will be grounded because of IT issues " to show the critical role of ICT in the society .

Well, they can't use this example anymore , it is already happening. 

It is "amazing" how the airline's  spokespersons handled the matter by saying  flight were grounded due to  "an IT issue" .

We should be concerned at how "IT issues " are being used to justify,

• Incompetence 
  
• Lack of proper processes
  
• Negligence
• and even theft at times
  

The public should demand for an explanation beyond "This was an IT issue" . It is like  telling people that Nairobi water outage was due to "water issue".
