IT for Change and IDRC are co-organising a Round Table on 'Inclusion in the network society – mapping development alternatives, forging research agendas' in September 2014 in Bangalore, India. The round table will bring together around 25 participants – leading scholars, development practitioners and thinkers, who are interested in the theoretical and policy aspects of equity, inclusion and participation in the 'ICTs and development' domain.

Further, the Round Table seeks to introduce young development researchers and practitioners to the broader debate on inclusion in the network age, through this Open Call for Abstracts. There is a limited number of travel fellowships for authors of selected full-length essays, to participate in the round table.

For further information, please read the Call for Abstracts and Concept Note.

'The revolution and women’s liberation go together. We do not talk of women’s emancipation as an act of charity or because of a surge of human compassion. It is a basic necessity for the triumph of the revolution. Women hold up the other half of the sky.' - Thomas Sankara
