Not ICT related but allow me to also salute the African Icon Mandela.

One thing he did very differently from an African perspective, is to leave office when he was still needed => good succession planning => good legacy.

+1 Walu.

The problem with some developing contries stem from leaders who have overstayed in power, they have nothing more to give but still hang on.

Let's not forget Mandela's words "after climbing a great hill, one only finds that there are many more hills to climb". We've done a lot in our ICT industry, but if we sit down to celebrate, all that effort will be naught

This is the most difficult lesson for our African leaders.

#RIPNelsonMandela.

 'Sometimes, it falls upon a
 generation to be great.'

 Pay tribute to Nelson Mandela
and share his powerful words today.

 Dear Lucy,

Nelson Mandela's unwavering courage, forgiveness and
hope touched and inspired people all around the world. He
showed that the dream of a just society is possible and he
challenged our generation to lead the way towards it.

As Mandela said in his extraordinary 2005 speech in
London's Trafalgar Square, 'Like slavery and
apartheid, poverty is not natural. It is man-made and it can
be overcome and eradicated by the actions of human
 beings.'

And he ended his speech with a call that moves us still.

'Sometimes,' Mandela said, 'it falls upon a
generation to be great. You can be that great generation.
 Let your greatness blossom.'

One way to honor Nelson Mandela's memory is to share
those words to prove every day that this generation can be
the great one that ends extreme poverty.
 Share
 his words now.
