The Kenya ICT Board is proud to announce that this year's grantees have received their first cheques and are on track to deliver on their set milestones.
Fourteen companies and one individual were awarded grants in the first round of the Tandaa Digital Content and Software Development Grant. The grantees range from companies providing solutions in the health and education sector to developing content for TV and video.
Each grantee will complete their project within 12 months. We will feature the grantees' progress and results in upcoming newsletters.

Overview:
The Kenya ICT Board will launch 'Wezesha' a laptop initiative for university students on December 3. 'Wezesha' means 'enable' in Kiswahili. Under the Wezesha program university students in participating public and private universities and colleges will be eligible for 15% - 33% rebate on laptops from select retailers.

A team from i/o ventures will visit Kenya from December 14 to 15. The team consists of entrepreneurs and founders of some of the most well known Silicon Valley companies.
