Andrew, Iam pleased to note that you are nurturing two community resource centres in your effort to promote communal sharing of information/knowledge. We are organizing a workshop for people who manage such centres in kampala next month and would like to involve representatives from the two centres. Kindly furnish me with their contacts so that I can enlist them for participation. Iam currently coordinating a network of such centres in Kenya and hope to work closely with your office. Thank you. The culture supports communal approach and knowledge sharing and confidence can also be shared communally. I am nurturing two centres and would be very keen on this initiative. Hi Alice, I am currently coordinating efforts to have a telecentre movement in place in Kenya. Iam doing this with the mandate of Telecentre.org (international network based in canada) through the regional telecentre network Ugabytes based in Kampala. Iam therefore calling upon any interested person to join this movement by enrolling with me. Legible persons will be those managing/running or working in community information centres, telecentres(community, commercial, private), cybercafes, resource centres, telecottages etc. There are several activities which have been lined up to make the telecentre network a reality in Kenya. Those interested can contact me urgently through my E-Mail address. You can also circulate this message to other mailing lists which may draw the attention of telecentre enthusiasts in Kenya. Thank you.
