Join Qhala and the Lawyers Hub for an online discussion today afternoon (June 8th 2020, 3pm)

Theme: Taxing the Digital Economy
On June 1st, the Kenyan Revenue Authority officially announced the taxing of the digital economy. Kenya being one of Africa's leading Tech hubs is booming with innovative digital services that are slowly transforming various industries. Compliance with the 1.5% digital tax to be levied on gross transaction values, for instance, will come with increased costs of services among other implications. Various questions still linger.

Join us on Monday 3PM EAT as we host an online discussion on this matter with Mr. Maurice Oray, the Deputy Commissioner for Tax Policy; Rosemary Chemo Kimwatu, Legal Policy Specialist; Eunice Kavere, Lawyer and Wilfred Olambo, a Tax Expert with KPMG.

See you then and warm regards from the Lawyers Hub.
