Corruption is killing every innovative way. I believe someone at Jogoo House or even at the President's desk was to benefit from this laptop project.

I was thinking that with the public procurement act being in place, then corruption would be a thing of the past.

It's sad.

@GG,

another opportunity for the ICT Authority to take over this project. I know ministry of education feels it is their "stronghold" but I think they need help.

I wish I could say "I told you so" - but unfortunately it is my 25B Ksh being played around with. Every Kenyan loses in these high-stakes type of games.

 The Public Procurement Administrative Review
 Board has cancelled the tender award to Indian firm Olive
 Technologies to supply and install laptops for Standard One
 Pupils. In a ruling made Wednesday afternoon, the board
 chaired by Josephine Mong'are reversed the tender and
 ordered the procurement committee to retender within 45
 days. The board said its decision was informed by the fact
 that Olive Technologies lacked financial ability to carry
 out the project.
