Agreed Ali. The space itself has been the result of more than 2 years of planning and strategy.

But what is it meant to achieve I guess is bigger in the whole bigger picture - it can be more than a sabatical visit. Regional inclusion is always key. It will be interesting to see how Kenya plays a more Kenyan role than a Nairobi role. Opportunity spaces should not be physically limited in a cyber connected world.

Alf Mabruk (A thousand congratulations)

This is really good progress. it just shows how when a community comes together what can be achieved. I can’t wait to take a ‘sabbatical’ and come and spend time there ‘working’ overlooking the indian ocean!! :-)

Well done and congrats to all who made this dream happen. It has been a long time in coming.

Thanks & Regards

Listers,

Quick re-cap on the progress of SwahiliBox innovation space.

SwahiliBox - Mombasa's Innovation Workspace as earlier described was under restoration. We now have pictures of the open space's progress in our Facebook Photo Album - https://www.facebook.com/SwahiliBox/photos/pcb.1680652445508155/1680652028841530/?type=3&permPage=1

These works now put SwahiliBox at the point in which we can now start putting in equipment to start the work of the open space itself.

Looking forward to having an engaging tech eco-system in Mombasa connect to the regional technology space - for the first time.
