Dear Listers A lot has been said about our leaders responsibility in ending corruption in our country. A lot still has been talked about regarding leaders declaration of assets to ensure transparency in dealing with this issue. I cannot say that there has been much done or someone coming out publicly and making this available for all to see. Until now. Good morning listers Those of you who tried to post on the list yesterday may have noticed that the mails were bouncing. This is because kictanet.or.ke is registered with EAC directory and were experiencing problems with DNS. This was however resolved just around midnight. Thanks to Washington who followed and worked on this matter to ensure we are 'back on air'. Eric Your denial seems to be very much against the sentiments of Kenyans on social media and the Techweez blog. KENIC Confirms Takedown of isUhuruInKenya.co.ke Domain My sense is that this may very well be sensationalization. Maybe someone hacked the site? Be that as it may KeNIC needs to get ahead of this hullabaloo and assure all owners of .ke domains that you have laid down procedures for take down orders etc. My suggestion would be that:- 1. Immediately issue a denial and proof that you guys didn't do this. 2. Engage the community on the procedures of take down. 3. Clearly inform the public what constitutes a take down etc. KeNIC has done well over the last few years and you guys need to be seen as Politically Agnostic. Period.
