We are interested in how the emerging tools can reshape the way in which governments reach existing decisions as well how it can reshape government itself. *Work so far:* We think AI will reshape government in two ways. Firstly, it will change the speed, reliability and quality of existing government outcomes. Secondly, it will allow us to rethink the way in which government itself is structured. As the landscape rapidly changes around it, government needs to think about these issues now or it risks missing out on the significant benefits this technology offers. There are, of course, significant risks for governments to mitigate when implementing these tools. How will the quality of the outcomes be verified? How can we be sure that the data used to fuel the outcomes is valid? How can the government ensure the security of the tools and their underlying datasets? Company sues Treasury over eCitizen payments

The National Treasury has been thrust into a vicious war with the administrator of its electronics payments platform eCitizen, which now threatens to stall services offered through the World Bank-backed online portal. I'm copying below verbatim email communications that has been sent out by the Costa Rica ccTLD Registry. Attached you will find the Letter send by ccTLD .cr to GAC / ICANN CEO / ICANN President Costa Rica Ministry of Commerce, Costa Rica Ministry of MICITT (ICT) A fragment of the letter: “The representative of the United States Embassy, Mr. Kevin Ludeke, Economist Specialist, who claims to represent the interest of the US Department of Commerce, has mentioned threats to close our registry, with repeated harassment regarding our practices and operation policies and even personal negative comments directed to our Executive Director, based on no clear evidence or statistical data to support his claims as a way to pressure our organization to take down the domain name without following our current policies”a You can get your own conclusions Related with domain name thepiratebay.cr **Attached is the letter. This raises interesting questions and potential for precedence setting. 1. Should a Registry take down a domain simply by being asked to? Even if that domain is clearly violating laws? 2. Shouldn't laid down procedures for take downs be adhered to? 3. What recourse do the offended have in this case? 4. Should a foreign entity/country threaten to shut down a Registry? Current in the proof of concept / pilot stage. *Level 2: Technical Adoption* Organisations using Big Data Mostly for storage or to transform. Usage primarily by IT industry. Some Big Data exploratory analytics. *Level 3: Business Adoption* Leveraging discrete LOB use cases, structured and unstructured analysis. Using predictive analytics applied to Big Data. *Level 4: Enterprise Adoption* Leveraging use cases for multiple LOBs. Integrated metadata, quality, and governance across Big Data. Predictive insights integrated into business operations. *Level 5: DAaaS (Data Analytics as a Service)* Operating as a data service provider, self-serve data. Collaboration and sharing analytics across the enterprise. As the data discourse is enhanced, the above outlines different levels of adoption in Big data that puts a sharp focus of where are and what we need to do. Would be interesting to hear view points that would argue against that we are in the Infancy stage. Complaint against an MNO

I have looked at http://www.ca.go.ke/index.php/how-to-make-a-complaint, but just from reading, without downloading any forms, it's not obvious to me which category of complaint mine is in. I'll appreciate any pointers, On Tuesday last week (or Monday evening!) an MNO installed and switched on some Radio equipment on a mast that is in my neighborhood and with that, the neighborhood instantly lost all TV signals. We have been forced to engage technicians to try and help us out to get to watch TV again. They say we have to address the matter with the provider. Digital signals, including that of GOTv have been affected from/by what I believe is some signal from the equipment this MNO (or whoever it's sharing the mast with!) installed last week. In such a case of signal interference, which form should I be downloading from the above CA website? And why doesn't CA just have an online complaint submission system, which authenticates against the complainant's phone number or e-mail using a code??
