The 98th sitting of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress chaired by Li Zhanshu, the Communist Party's No. 3, approved for consideration over a dozen draft laws among them the PIPL. Safaricom will introduce a feature blocking customer contact details when making payments through Lipa na M-Pesa to curb personal information being traded to advertisers or fraudsters.
