Curriculum Reform - what is the tech community's input?

Listers, Some of you may be aware that the Kenya Institute for Curriculum (KICD), has embarked on curriculum reforms for basic and teacher education. KICD is currently conducting a national needs assessment study whose findings will inform the reform process. KICD is thus calling for a submission of memoranda from the public. "I'm delighted to announce Göran as the new head of ICANN," said Dr. Stephen Crocker, Chair of the ICANN Board of Directors. "His leadership experience as a technology CEO and start-up founder as well as his current experience as Director-General of the Swedish Post and Telecom Authority will be invaluable as ICANN moves towards the next chapter in its history. We conducted an extensive, global search and Göran impressed us all throughout with his shared values, operational experience and understanding of the Internet ecosystem. I'm looking forward to working with him and what I know will be his substantial contribution to ICANN and to helping ensure a stable, secure and unified global Internet." Marby is a Swedish citizen, currently living in Stockholm. He and his family will be relocating to Los Angeles, California the location of one of ICANN's three global hubs. Mine is a burning question on how to incentivize the startup eco-system, including: 1. How to make the business registration process a bit less hectic. 2. Tax breaks for some amount of time during which they operate to pick up business and traction around this. Having managed the eco-system in Mombasa for a while, I think you end up finding potential kids and other chaps having ideas, but who can not enter into some contests or can not be eligible to enroll to specific support frameworks because of their lack of a business registration certificate. Which is sad, to see such potential go all the way down the drain because of financial or other constraints. Views from far and wide in the North. By now, perhaps the Uber Executives are riding on the "negative waves" for their free PR - it is a marketing strategy too, an entry tactic too! Moving away from the taxi hue and cry, I believe Uber is a version of a human "car track". As an app, we now can track all your movements as you hail and use the service. Thus Uber at a global level becomes a repository of human movements within cities.This opens new lines of business to trade the data with interest groups such as development planners, governments and security agencies. In making our selection, the NOMCOM took into account the individuals’ abilities and accomplishments, as well as both gender and regional diversity. The NOMCOM considered the need for continuity within the MAG when examining those candidates wishing to continue as MAG members, and particularly the criteria that can be found at internetcollaboration.org .
