When I'm traveling, to keep a usable connection, I turn off JS to avoid extra overhead, which is how I first accessed the site. As is, a lot of places are not reachable from the homepage without JavaScript, which makes it a somewhat, disappointing experience. With JavaScript finally turned on (when I got back to Nairobi and it's environs), the site exposes more content. Maybe it's just me, but I think the content should be available, with or without JavaScript on. This also caters for the scenario where for some reason the JavaScript fails to load, or is broken - it shouldn't break the site's functionality. That's my 2 cents.

In that year, a combined University of California, San Diego and Facebook research team led by James Fowler published a study in *Nature* <https://www.nature.com/articles/nature11421.epdf?referrer_access_token=3hEG…>, which argued that Facebook’s “I Voted” button had driven a small but measurable increase in turnout, primarily among young people. Rebecca Rosen’s 2012 story, “Did Facebook Give Democrats the Upper Hand? <https://www.theatlantic.com/technology/archive/2012/11/did-facebook-give-de…>” relied on new research from Fowler, et al., about the presidential election that year. Again, the conclusion of their work was that Facebook’s get-out-the-vote message could have driven a substantial chunk of the increase in youth voter participation in the 2012 general election. Fowler told Rosen that it was “even possible that Facebook is completely responsible” for the youth voter increase. And because a higher proportion of young people vote Democratic than the general population, the net effect of Facebook’s GOTV effort would have been to help the Dems. The research showed that a small design change by Facebook could have electoral repercussions, especially with America’s electoral-college format in which a few hotly contested states have a disproportionate impact on the national outcome. Not every country will be able to develop its own digital security architecture, but one can well see all non dominant countries moving within the "sphere if influence" of the few dominant one, US, China, and to some extent, Russia. That would be an unfortunate thing, but that is what we are clearly headed towards. "Was he in the same vein also admitting that not *all* Forms 34A had been electronically transmitted to the National Tallying Centre from the polling centres as required by law?" Paragraph 258: "not scanning all Forms 34A and simultaneously transmitting them to the NTC" Paragraph 260 (b) Whether all the Forms 34A had been electronically transmitted from the polling stations to the National Tallying Centre. Paragraphs 262-266 - further emphasizing of electronic transmission, no sane person is bound to ignore. Not sure how the Supreme Court complied with Article 159(2)(d) of the Constitution, but it seems like FOUR Supreme Court judges chose to focus on the procedural technicalities.. the scanning + electronic transmission of *ALL* form 34a's to the National Tallying Centre, before the announcement of results. Dear all A few months ago KICTANet embarked on putting together a Policy Brief for Blockchain Technology in Kenya. Please find attached the document that is a result of your interactions and a validation meeting that took place which involved various stakeholders from the private sector and government. I would like to thank everyone who took part in this exercise. I would be remiss if I didn't also single out the CS for ICT, Mr. Joe Mucheru who mobilized his team to contribute vigorously to this exercise. Thank you all. Feel free to make your comments and add on to it as we move along. We consider this a live document and hence will be updating it every quarter as required as developments in the Blockchain space continue to evolve rapidly. For example since we met and published this document a number of events have taken place. To mention just a few:- 1. Bitcoins passed the $4000 mark for the first time since Satoshi Nakamoto <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Satoshi_Nakamoto> first penned the now famous Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System <https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf>. 2. ICOs <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Initial_coin_offering> have become all the rage. The Initial Coin Offering is an unregulated means of crowdfunding via use of cryptocurrency. 3. The IMF Chief <https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/europe/imf-chief-tells-central-bankers…> declares that cryptocurrencies will overshadow mainstream banking in the near future. 4.
