Congratultions to Dr. Bitange Ndemo - an avid KICTANeter

Listers, I believe it is in order to congratulate one of us on his deserving appointment. Dr. BITANGE NDEMO has finally landed a government appointment as Kenya's new ambassador to Brussels-Belgium. Dr.NDEMO said after he was sacked as PS by the Jubilee govt in 2013 many of his friends deserted him. For us laymen of the Kenyan law. What is the stance of an individual's personal device? I am not talking about your phone records(SMS and Voice), m-pesa transactions and/or bank transactions that may be held/copied elsewhere. Are your devices viewed as extensions of your mind? We all store sensitive things we can't remember on our devices. Lastly, can you be compelled to unlock your own device? The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) is setting up an advanced forensic laboratory that will allow it to mine data, including hidden accounts and records, from taxpayers’ computers and mobile phones to detect tax and financial fraud.
