If you read the materials I sent out carefully, everybody was invited including media whom we presume will pass the message to Kenyans. The invitations were done jointly with the World Bank. I need addresses of consumer groups such that in future we do not make such errors. I also trust that you could help in such occassions to point out those who have not been invited. I was certain that you will have access to the invitation being a member of kictanet and buy extension you should have sent the same mail to as many consumers as possible. G7 Kenya's engineers will provide customized computer programming services to customers over the internet using a satellite uplink in the University's Science and Technology Park. If the company succeeds and expands, it could eventually employ up to 800 Kenyan staff, providing a major boost to the local economy in Kakamega. As Ms. Slutz pointed out in her remarks, delivered on behalf of U.S. Ambassador Michael E. Ranneberger, the venture also proves that Kenya can use the advantages of its well-educated, English-speaking citizenry to compete and prosper in the global economy.
