Soul Beat Africa is managed by the Communication Initiative - a Canadian based company - and Soul City; Institute for Health and Development Communication, a South African NGO. Soul Beat Africa is looking for a director to lead and manage the organisation as it becomes a self-standing South African NGO. The successful candidate will be responsible for the growth and development of Soul Beat Africa's network of users, on-line content and interactive processes as well as the strategic direction of Soul Beat in Africa. The successful applicant must have a relevant university degree with 4 - 8 years experience at a senior level in development communication. Experience in online publishing will be considered an asset. He or she must have a strong knowledge of development issues in Africa, have proven leadership skills and be very proficient in English. He / she must be a Southern African citizen.
